The design of the LUCIA MKII audiophile bookshelf speaker ensures both acoustic performance and refined aesthetics.
With its newly developed custom drivers combined with an optimized passive crossover, the LUCIA MKII offers precise, balanced, and fluid sound reproduction.

Though the youngest in the JMR family, LUCIA MKII plays a special role: designed to guide listeners into the brand’s rich and embodied sonic universe, it offers, even on a modest budget, a vibrant, nuanced experience true to the spirit of high-fidelity.

LOADING PRINCIPLE :

LUCIA MKII uses a front-firing laminar bass-reflex port, allowing placement close to the rear wall (10 to 15 cm / approx. 4 to 6 inches).
Its cabinet is made of 19 mm (approx. 0.75 inch) high-density MDF, assembled under press for maximum rigidity.
The rounded front edges and wide acoustic felt reduce early reflections, ensuring better directivity and a more precise soundstage.

MID/BASS DRIVER:

New 13 cm (approx. 5″) mid/bass driver designed with a treated paper cone and a soft rubber central phase plug to reduce turbulence.
It features a 25 mm (approx. 1″) voice coil on a ventilated aluminum former, a stiffer, open-design aluminum basket, and a dual magnet, ensuring fast, precise, and well-controlled bass.

TWEETER :

25 mm (approx. 1″) textile dome tweeter with neodymium magnet
Housed in a small tuned chamber, this tweeter offers a low resonance at 650 Hz, an extended response curve, and smooth, progressive directivity.
Its injection-molded ABS front plate with a waveguide profile increases efficiency without harshness.
The result: rich, detailed timbres without dryness or listening fatigue — fully in line with JMR audiophile expectations.

FILTERING:

2-way passive crossover, symmetric 12 dB/octave slopes, crossover point at 3500 Hz.
Hand-assembled, it uses polypropylene capacitors and audiophile-grade ferrite-core inductors to ensure precise bass and low distortion.
Internal wiring is made of pure copper (0.8 mm for the tweeter, 1 mm for the woofer), ensuring optimal signal transmission.

USAGE RECOMMENDATIONS:

Thanks to its gentle directivity, the LUCIA MKII can be installed without precise toe-in — a slight inward angle is enough.
It can be placed on 50 cm (approx. 20-inch) stands, a shelf, or a desk.
The ideal spacing is around 1.5 m (approx. 60 inches) center-to-center, adjustable between 1 and 2.5 m (approx. 40 to 100 inches) depending on the room.
Thanks to its front-firing port, it can be positioned close to the rear wall, with a recommended minimum distance of 10 to 15 cm (approx. 4 to 6 inches).
