The importance of the stand, for small size speakers, has been acknowledged a long time ago. Many manufacturers offer special stands whose inertia, weight, structure and isolating method from the floor improve the speakers performances in a significant way.
Nevertheless, all these stands have one major drawback: the stationary waves that are created between the floor and the superior part of the stand. These waves are generating accidents in the frequency response and in the phase response of the loudspeaker.
MAGIC-STAND uses an exclusive active system of two resonators of Helmotz tuned at two different frequencies and with front surfaces arranged so that the signal is diffracted in an optimal manner in low frequencies ( band 100 - 400 Hz). Results are spectaculars, and they are not only audible but measurable as shown in the frequency response curves below, featuring pink noise analysis with the same loudspeaker (our TWIN model).
One pair has been placed on a metal stand filled with sand, remarkably inert and heavy. The other has been placed on " MAGIC STAND ". The height of the respective stands was of course the same, and the microphone was situated at the same place.

CONSTATS

The frequency response with the metal stands, extends in a 8 dB range.
With " MAGIC-STAND " it falls to a 4 dB range. The 50 Hz, in relation to the reference level, was at -6 dB with the metal stand, and -3 dB only with " MAGIC STAND "
NB = This stand provides optimal results with speakers whose height is contained between 30 to 50 centimeters ( 12 to 20 inches)
